Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Media Director to lead our media department across multiple campuses. The Media Director will oversee a team of graphic designers, videographers, and live production techs to ensure the seamless execution of all media-related activities. This role is essential to the creation and delivery of engaging content for our Sunday services, events, live streaming, and the overall church experience. Additionally, the Media Director will support equipment maintenance, installations, repairs, and upgrades for all campuses, ensuring consistency and high-quality production standards.
Responsibilities:
1. Sunday Services Preparation:
- Oversee the creation and preparation of all media content for Sunday services, including content for screens and live streaming.
- Collaborate with Worship, Creative, and Teaching teams to ensure media content aligns with the service flow and vision.
- Ensure all technical aspects (e.g., video playback, live streaming) run smoothly during services at the Central Campus.
2. Team Leadership & Management:
- Lead and manage a team of graphic designers, videographers, and live production technicians.
- Hire, train, and oversee staffing for the media production team at the Central Campus.
- Foster a culture of creativity, collaboration, and excellence within the media department.
3. Live Production & Technical Support:
- Oversee the live production during services, ensuring high-quality visuals and sound for both in-person and online experiences.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for production teams across all campuses during services and events.
- Lead media-related events, conferences, and special services, ensuring top-tier execution.
4. Campus Support & Equipment Maintenance:
- Provide ongoing support to all campuses for media production needs, including troubleshooting and technical assistance.
- Ensure equipment is properly maintained and regularly inspected across all campuses.
- Oversee the installation, repair, and upgrading of media-related equipment, including sound systems, cameras, projectors, and streaming technology.
5. Strategy & Planning:
- Work closely with the leadership team to develop and implement a long-term media strategy that aligns with the church’s vision and goals.
- Research and recommend new technologies and techniques to enhance the media experience at all campuses.
- Create and manage media budgets, ensuring efficient use of resources for equipment and staffing needs.
6. Other Duties:
- Attend regular staff meetings and communicate regularly with leadership teams regarding upcoming media needs and challenges.
- Oversee social media, Digital and Physical Marketing and all outgoing Media content and development.
- Serve as a key point of contact for media-related inquiries, coordinating across departments as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in media production, including graphic design, videography, and live event production.
- Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to train, inspire, and coordinate a team of volunteers and staff.
- Proficient in media production software and hardware, including video editing software (Adobe Premiere, DaVinci, etc.), ProPresenter, live streaming platforms (Resi), and audio/visual systems.
- Experience in troubleshooting and maintaining media equipment across multiple campuses.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work collaboratively with church staff, volunteers, and leadership teams.
- Passion for the mission of the church and a heart for creative ministry.
- Flexible and adaptable to changing environments, especially during live events.
- A degree or equivalent experience in media production, communications, or a related field is preferred.
Working Environment:
This position is based at the Cleburne Campus and Operates as a part of the Central Team. It does require regular travel and support to other campuses. The role may require occasional evening or weekend work for conferences and events. As we operate on a Sunday through Thursday work week it is possible that the occasional Friday or Saturday be needed for special events/services/conferences/special projects. Sundays are required.
