Recognizing the strengths, challenges, and natural talents of each student, Village Glen promotes strong academic achievement and social and personal well-being.BENEFITS : $7,500 sign-on-bonus for Mild / Moderate & ECSE credentialed Teachers$3,500 sign-on-bonus for Intern or PIP / STSP / Intern eligible Teachers (CBEST required)Reimbursement of CEUsTuition reimbursement towards earning a Special Education CredentialMentor teacher opportunities100% employer-sponsored health insurance plan : Medical, Dental, Vision, and life insurance403b Retirement PlanFlexible Spending AccountSmall class sizes with Instructional Aide support and a multi-disciplinary approachEmployee Assistance ProgramIDEAL CANDIDATE POSSESSES : Bachelor's in education or a related field is required.Special Education credential is required; OR the ability to qualify for an Intern Credential, Provisional Internship Permit or Short-Term Staff Permit.Experience teaching students with autism and / or learning disabilities is preferred.Experience with positive behavior modification managementRESPONSIBILITIES : Plan, coordinate and implement individual student programs.Select appropriate curriculum content for each student.Determine appropriate, measurable goals and objectives for each student.Write individual education plans (IEPs) and participate in IEP meetings.Employ a trans-disciplinary approach to education, conferring with team members as appropriate for particular issues.Prepare or secure necessary instructional materials.Modify activities and adapt materials to promote student success.Design and use instructional grouping patterns that are varied and flexible, including individual, small group, and whole class instruction.Employ clear, predictable daily and weekly schedules, which accommodate students' needs.Prepare a weekly plan book to detail lesson plans, grouping, activities, staff assignments, and other relevant information.Employ appropriate, individualized teaching and reinforcement techniques to maximize student achievement.Salary is $58,600 - $105,000 depending on experience and education.We are an equal opportunity employer that values diversity at all levels.
