The Business Development Representative (BDR) plays a critical role in our sales organization by driving revenue growth through converting prospects into qualified leads for the sales team. In this role, you’ll be instrumental in building the foundation for our success by identifying stakeholders, uncovering customer pain points, and securing meetings with decision-makers across a range of healthcare and government sectors.

Duties/Responsibilities
- Prospecting & Research: Identify and generate new business opportunities by researching and engaging with cold accounts and warm leads within Medicare Advantage, Medicaid, Vendor Solutions, and other government programs.
- Tailored Messaging: Develop and deliver highly personalized, impactful outreach via email, conferences, and other communication channels to secure meetings with target personas.
- Communicate Value: Articulate The Helper Bees’ value proposition and product offerings clearly to prospects, demonstrating an understanding of their pain points.
- Collaborate Internally: Work cross-functionally with sales, product, and marketing teams to align messaging and strategies for success.
- Pipeline Management: Accurately log all activities, interactions, and engagements in the CRM system to ensure transparency and pipeline health.
- Creative Engagement: Leverage innovative and strategic approaches to establish trust, engage prospects, and set meetings.
- Ownership: Take full accountability for creating targeted prospect lists, developing messaging strategies, and uncovering opportunities through detailed research.
- Travel: Be prepared for significant travel, including attendance at training, conferences, and customer on-site visits. Expect 8 - 10 trips of 2–3 days each in 2026.

- Lead Generation and Outreach
- Number of Outbound Activities: Total calls, emails, and other touchpoints made daily/weekly.
- Connect Rate: Percentage of outreach that results in a meaningful conversation.
- Meeting Set Rate: Number of qualified meetings booked relative to outreach efforts.
- Pipeline Development
- Number of Qualified Opportunities: Total leads converted into -qualified opportunities (SQOs).
- Accepted Leads (SALs): Number of leads passed to sales that are accepted as viable opportunities.
- Target Achievement
- Monthly/Quarterly Quota Attainment: Number of meetings set or qualified opportunities created against targets.
- Percentage to Goal: Progress toward monthly and quarterly KPIs.
- Sales Cycle Impact
- Lead-to-Opportunity Conversion Time: Time taken to move a lead from initial contact to qualification.
- Revenue Influence: Contribution of SDR-generated leads to closed revenue.
- Travel Performance
- Meetings Scheduled per Event/Conference: Leads generated and meetings secured during travel.
- Post-Event Follow-Up Success: Conversion rate of event contacts into opportunities.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Relentless ambition, critical thinking ability, and, most importantly, coachability.
- Highly self-motivated, proactive, and results-oriented mindset.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to craft tailored messaging.
- Strong research and analytical skills to identify opportunities and uncover pain points.
- Proficiency in CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and prospecting tools.
- Ability to travel as required (15–25 trips annually).
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- 1 yea of experience in sales, preferably in B2B sales and strong foundational sales training
- Demonstrated success in meeting/exceeding sales targets and quotas.
- Experience prospecting into healthcare, government, or related sectors is a plus.
- Ability to remain at your designated workstation for the duration of the workday
- Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a phone and Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP).
- The ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
- The ability to observe details at close range (typically on a computer screen)
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to navigate airports, conference venues, and customer sites, which may include extended periods of walking, standing, and occasional stair climbing.

Candidates must have a reliable internet connection and a designated work environment conducive to professional phone calls and sensitive data.
