Under the guidance of the Sales Manager, the Account Manager will be a key driver in rapidly expanding our market share within the hemp/THC sector. This role is ideal for a dynamic, results-driven sales professional who excels in generating new business and managing relationships with retailers and distributors. The successful candidate will ensure strong brand representation, customer education, and revenue growth in a fast-paced environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
New Business Development
- Proactively prospect and engage potential retail/distribution accounts through calls, emails, and in-person visits.
- Meet monthly KPIs, including achieving 5 new qualified buyer contacts and 3 new account sign-ons.
Account Management & Customer Success
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, offering consultative support to maximize product sell-through.
- Resolve customer issues swiftly and relay actionable feedback to the Sales Manager.
- Conduct in-person or video training sessions for store staff on new products and our sales enablement tools.
Sales & Marketing Execution
- Present and promote products in line with our brand guidelines to ensure market penetration.
- Execute merchandising and pricing strategy calls to optimize product positioning.
- Participate in 1–2 quarterly market blitzes to secure qualified leads and convert them into active accounts.
Data & CRM Management
- Log all customer interactions, leads, and follow-up actions in SalesForce with a focus on maintaining 90% data accuracy.
- Track weekly sales activities (target: 50 interactions) and prepare detailed reports on account activity, competitor insights, and sales forecasts by the 20th of each month.
SALES KPIS (Must meet 80% Monthly)
- Activity:
- 40 active account interactions (calls/visits) logged weekly.
- 25 active accounts documented with next steps in SalesForce weekly.
- Lead Generation & Conversion:
- Generate 5 new qualified leads per week (20 per month).
- Achieve a 30% conversion rate from samples to customers within 30 days.
- Revenue & Growth:
- Increase monthly revenue by 15%.
- Secure 4 upsell opportunities per month.
- Attain 85% retention of accounts acquired within the last six months and ensure 75% of new accounts place a second order within 90 days.
COMPENSATION
- Base Salary: $48,000 annually (W2 employee).
- Bonus/Commission: - 6% commission on gross sales for Modern Herb Co. retail & The Hemp Collect private label products. - 3% commission on gross sales for The Hemp Collect bulk products. - Commission payments are made monthly on the 15th (applicable on sales exceeding the base salary).
