What are the responsibilities and job description for the Body Shop Detailer position at The Heritage Automotive Group?
The Collision Center at Heritage is seeking a detailer to clean and prep vehicles being repaired in our body shop. This is a great entry-level role for anyone who would like to explore the world of becoming an automotive technician or body shop repair tech! Hours are 7:30am to 5:00pm, Monday through Friday; no experience needed!
\n- Move vehicles in and out of the shop to keep work flowing; park and maneuver vehicles, in tight spaces at times.
- Fuel vehicles, and work with the collision center staff to manage the days inventory.
- Prepare cars for detailing with protective materials.
- Perform interior cleaning: vacuum, shampoo if required, wash floor mats, polish car interiors, vacuum, wash windows; detail, clean and dress vinyl.
- Undercoat and rust proof new and used vehicles; degrease engines.
- Wash the whole exterior of the vehicle, dry and polish.
- Buff and wax exteriors; wash undercarriage.
- Any additional duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
- Experience driving standard transmission preferred.
- Eager to keep moving and enjoys a fast paced environment.
- Ability to read/comprehend written instructions and information.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and work cooperatively with all other staff.
