The Heritage Community is a residential treatment program for adolescents, ages 12 - 18. Within the arch of our company is a distinct, cutting edge program for youth who are on the high-functioning Autism Spectrum - SPARK ACADEMY . We have a mindset that treatment needs to be improved and innovative for neurodiverse students! Our focus is a sophisticated, trauma-integrated clinical approach, with tailored treatment as unique as the individuals engaging in it!
We currently seek to hire a Shift Lead within Spark Academy. A Shift Lead is an assistant manager to the Home Director. The incumbent is responsible to manage their assigned shift, train and direct personnel on their team, oversee the supervision of students, and assure a care giving environment is upheld. We will hire a candidate who demonstrates leadership skills, who can be attuned to the needs of others, and shows passion and vision to excel! The ideal incumbent has relevant experience working with neurodiversity, so they can smoothly and efficiently orient into this leadership role to administer Spark Academy components under their stewardship.

Schedule :
- Assigned team / shift will be :
- Team 1 : Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, 7 AM - 3 PM, while also working one Sunday per month, rotating every four weeks, 8 : 00 AM - 10 : 00 PM.
- Team 2 : Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, 2 : 30 PM - 10 : 15 Pm while also working one Sunday per month, rotating every four weeks, 8 : 00 AM - 10 : 00 PM.
- Will be required to attend a weekly Treatment Team meeting, Tuesday's, 11 : 00 AM - 2 : 00 PM.
- Leadership duties will be worked throughout the rest of the week to reach full-time hours.
Knowledge and Abilities :
Aptitude of adolescent development, with proficiency in working with an adolescent population, ages 15 - 18.Basic understanding and competency of mental health, particularly with neurodiversity (i.e., high-functioning Autism Spectrum Disorder, Sensory Processing Disorder, rigid thinking, OCD, anxiety, etc.). Must also show assertiveness to improve knowledge and competency for efficient job performance.Management and leadership skills - using passion and vision to teach and steward both students and employees.Excellence in innovation and executing plans, knowing how to be attuned to the people and business you serve to weave culture and results.Engaging and dynamic character to develop healthy and supportive relationships with students and team members.Proficiency to mediate escalated situations or students to maintain a safe and therapeutic environment.Good written and oral communication skills, with basic computer skills.Duties and Responsibilities :
Mentor the students assigned to the home, Summit, ensuring the proper implementation of clinical treatment plans and assignments as outlined by the Treatment Team.Serve as an assistant manager to the Home Director for leadership of the home. This includes, but is not limited to, managing and training staff, handling operational components of assigned shift, assuring Spark Academy program components are consistent, and that treatment care objectives are applied in a true, high-quality manner.Establish trusting relationships with the students through appropriate boundaries, to reliably intercede and successfully mediate any conflicts at hand, or any time a student needs support and guidance.Attend weekly Treatment Team meetings, coming prepared to report on therapeutic progression or digression of the students. Work collaboratively with clinical Therapists and other Treatment Team members to develop strategic goals and objectives for each student that will guide them forward in their healing.Supervise the students in their day-to-day activities, including participating in such activities with the them, encouraging and supporting them to develop the skills associated to the tasks.Qualifications :
Minimum 6-months' relevant experience working in residential treatment required.Completed Bachelor's degree in a Behavioral Science field (Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, Family Studies, etc.).If degree is not completed, must show proof of working toward such degree with a minimum of two years' completed at a higher education institution.Good energy and being physically fit to participate in a range of activities with the students (sports, bike riding, hiking, swimming, etc.).Physical ability to perform safety interventions.Must be at least 21 years of age or older to apply.Proficiency and fluency in speaking, understanding, reading, and writing English.Benefits :
