Job Summary:
The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) provides a full range of speech-language pathology services including assessment, treatment planning and therapeutic interventions in an interdisciplinary environment. The SLP is responsible for evaluating patients to identify speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders through clinical assessments, standardized tests, and patient interviews.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate patients to identify speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans based on assessment findings
- Provide therapy to improve patients' communication skills and swallowing abilities
- Educate patients and their families about the nature of disorders and therapy techniques
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient evaluations and progress notes
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current, valid state SLP licensure and Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)
- Current valid CPR certification
