Responsibilities & Duties
Prepare and cook food in accordance with nutritional guidelines, regulations and housemate's individual prescribed diets and food preferences.
Ensure that there are meal alternatives on hand and prepared at all times.
Ensure that food is delivered on time and in a pleasant manner to housemates.
Assure that all doctor prescribed special diets are followed or that the order is changed to reflect diets that the house can provide.
Assure all open food in refrigerators and freezers are securely covered and dated and that outdated food is discarded promptly.
Qualifications
- Kitchen experience preferred.
- Experience in a long-term care facility or residential setting preferred but not required.
- Food safety: You must be trained in food safety and hygiene, and be aware of food allergies.
- Ability to plan and organize tasks to ensure housemates receive meals on time.
- Food handling skills: You need to know how to prepare and handle food safely and hygienically.
- Ability to remain calm in stressful situations.
- Must be able to pass state background check
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 24 per week
