Summary : Responsible for profitably growing assigned customer(s) (Walgreens) Hershey's business to achieve the assigned objective / plan, including net sales, market share, trade spend, sales activity margin. Responsibilities include sales planning & analysis, creating a valued joint business partnership with Walgreens by becoming a business advisor, achieving mutually beneficial agreements through skilled negotiation and understanding of the customer's business. Leverage insights to build a 1-to-3-year business plan and deploy supporting tactics to achieve financial objectives.
Responsibilities
- Achieve net sales, market share, trade spend, sales activity margin targets for assigned customer(s) through simulating and planning incremental volume, pre and post analysis, and displaying core competencies and behaviors.
- Judiciously manage and allocate trade funds (maintaining compliance with all Sarbanes Oxley policies) to achieve profitable sales growth.
- Effectively utilize the company's analytical tools and processes to drive profitable & predictable sales results.
- Build and maintain appropriate sales plans in PlanEx
- Manage trade fund budget to include clearing deductions
- Monitor and control customer expenses to include WASTE and supply chain costs.
- Provide category analysis and consumer insights to customers as well as other category tools / consultation with CDM partnership.
- Develop and provide resources and tools to the retail team.
- Achieve appropriate levels of account penetration.
- Work collaboratively with Hershey CSE counterparts, Category Management, Shopper Insights, Supply Chain, Sales Planning, and other cross functional partners on the account.
- Travel Requirement : 5-10% travel.
- Occasional trips to support offsite seasonal reviews and meetings in Hershey, PA (headquarters)
Qualifications : 5 years experience with CSE / Category Management experience in Food, Drug, Mass, Dollar, C-Store, Specialty or Club
Education : Bachelor's Degree Required Experience : Minimum 7-9 years relevant sales experience
