The Hershey Company is seeking two summer interns to manage and support small-to-medium sized projects, the positions will be focused on Food Regulatory Affairs and Food Safety Quality. These positions could require working in corporate, plant and virtual environments. This position provides an excellent opportunity to gain meaningful experience in the Food Safety, Food Quality and Food Regulatory functions.
Overview of Internship and Potential Projects
Food Regulatory Affairs
- Food Regulatory Compliance projects
- Provide regulatory and compliance support for innovation projects
- Develop new and update existing labeling materials
- Develop and revise export documentation
- Use digital and software tools for horizon scanning and compliance
- Support root cause analysis and risk assessments for ingredient updates and product reformulations impacting labeling
- Manage own projects as well as support other Regulatory Specialists
Food Safety and Quality
Develop a metal compositions data base for process equipment.Lead Root Cause Analysis for failuresDevelop FMEA for specific processes.Lead Food Safety and Quality Improvement ProjectsSupport innovation projectsSupport capacity expansion projectsDevelop new and update existing specificationsMap processes to improve reliabilityProvide assistance with gathering data / informationEvaluate software applicationsDevelop training materialsSupport root cause analysis, corrective action, and preventive action stepsManage own projects as well as support other Quality SpecialistsRequired Skills

Enrolled in college, pursuing a degreePreferred declared majors are food science, food law and regulation, nutrition science, chemistry, biology, mechanical engineering or a similar disciplineA minimum overall GPA of 2.8 is required, an overall GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferredReliable transportationPlease be advised that The Hershey Company welcomes all applicants to internships.
