What are the responsibilities and job description for the Specialist Inventory Control position at The Hershey Company?
Job Location: Bluffton, IN
Summary:
Responsible for completing the cycle count program as directed by the Materials Manager and Inventory Controller. Other monitoring (audit) activities are also used to determine whether the inventory management process is under control.
In addition, the Inventory Control Specialist:
- Perform daily cycle count activities, as scheduled by the Inventory Controller
- Correct any identified inventory variances
- Post audit results to appropriate spreadsheets
- Monitor FIFO (First In, First Out) picking philosophy
- Provide training on the Inventory Management System as required or needed
- Be a part of the physical inventory process as needed
- Identify and bring visibility to slow moving or obsolete inventory
- Verify that the License Plate System and Epicor are in sync
- Be an active member of the Mock Recall Team
- Perform special counts as needed
- All other duties as assigned or required
Skills and Experience:
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Inventory Management experience
- Must be well organized with an “Eye for Detail”
- Understanding of OSHA requirements and safety programs
Minimum Requirements and Education:
- 2 years in Food and Beverage Industry
- Certified for Fork Trucks and Stock Picker
