Summary:
Responsible for labor management and scheduling, training, and Step-up Cards. Directs and manages the activities of hourly production personnel while safely and effectively serving the needs of the plant's production areas. Adheres to the labor contract and complies with regulatory requirements, company and plant policies and procedures. Work closely with Human Resources for attendance, contractual support, and changes to CBA.

Work closely with Human Resources for attendance, contractual support, and changes to CBA.
In addition, the Training Supervisor:
- Manage the hourly employee job training and qualification processes within the annual budget.
- Supervise hourly training coordinators.
- Coordinate weekly employee job movement to new positions/shifts for training.
- Review all moves with payroll for accounting accuracy.
- Assist with the creation and maintenance of training documents (i.e. Step-up cards)
- Support new hire onboarding, orientation, and assessment processes.
- Member of the long-term Task Team; responsible for identifying future global training initiatives.
- Manage network labor tracking for L & D.
- Manage new hire orientation planning and agendas.
- Manage monthly metric reporting for L&D steering team.
- Selection and development of hourly Trainer Certifiers.
- Develop and manage hourly targeted selection job processes.
- Ensure Step-up Cards are updated and accurately reflect the correct processes and procedures
- Oversee the Step-up Card review process.
- Supervise hourly Tech Writers.
- Serve as the plant owner for temporary or Flex workforce.
- Work with temp staffing agency to coordinate contingent labor needs and provide future projections.
- Management daily and weekend contingent labor work assignments.
- Coordinate temporary workforce (including contractors) orientation and training.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to manage time efficiently and without supervision to meet deadlines.
- Self-motivator; excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Must be flexible to staffing changes and react quickly and efficiently.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
- Must be multi-task oriented and able to handle constant work interruptions.
- Good knowledge of plant policies and procedures.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and math skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and Teams
- Ability to communicate effectively at multiple levels of the organization daily.
- Familiarity with working in a union environment
- Proficient in the use of SAP or similar software
- Familiarity with labor scheduling software
- Supervisory experience
- High school education or equivalent required.
- BA/BS Business Management or related field preferred.
- Experience creating, analyzing, and reporting data to impact business decisions is required.
- Minimum 3 years of production planning and/or labor scheduling experience in a manufacturing environment is required.
