A Day in the Life :
The Primary mission of this job is to review / research correspondence from Hertz System Members to determine if an adjustment to their monthly licensee statement is due. They will also research and process rate differences for vehicle exchanges. Provide rental close out data as required, and process corporate invoices billing licensees.
We expect the starting wage to be around $16.83
What You’ll Do :
Perform month end balancing, Final Balance, and MVR reconciliations for month end close. Ensure Licensee statements post on the 1st of the month.
Research correspondence from Hertz System Members to determine if an adjustment to their monthly statement is due per the RIHLIT policy and make necessary adjustments.
Research and process vehicle exchange adjustments as well as assist licensees and corporate with vehicle exchange problems when necessary.
Enter all journal entries submitted by various internal departments accurately and timely. Work with internal departments to resolve discrepancies on journal entries posted on Licensee statements.
Review corporate missing miles at Licensee locations and bill Licensee timely and accurately.
Process Licensees requests for missing miles credits per the RIHLIT policy. Research and deny requests without supporting documentation from Licensees and Corporate locations.
Make journal entries for fuel adjustments, vehicle repairs, maintenance and roadside assistance.
Ensure timely payment of Licensee balance due. Proactively and independently collect money owed to Hertz from Licensees and avoid balances rolling into the 90 days and 120 days plus buckets. Escalate accounts to management as necessary.
Research Licensee checks and wire to ensure money is applied correctly. Respond to Licensee inquires on statement and payment questions by performing necessary research.
Activity manage vendor set ups for Licensees and work with AP to ensure checks are released and / or cancelled timely
Oversee timely submission and completeness of monthly royalty reports for all North America Licensees. Process submitted MVRs accurately before month end correcting errors and following up with Licensees as needed.
Follow up and accrue on late MVR submissions. Ensure accurate and timely reversal of accruals. Educate Licensees on how to submit MVR / Royalty reports
Provide MVR reports as requests by Accounting and Franchise Operations.
Responsible for updating royalty rates on contract updates and comply with SOX requirements.
Maintain close follow up of the file of items previously submitted but still need additional information before an adequate decision can be made. This includes follow up emails and phone conversations. Prepare journal entries as needed for account reconciliations or other items
Research and process various adjustments from other departments (DRB, TACO, Tours, Reservations, VDAs, Collections, Vehicle Control, DRB, Franchise Operations etc. Interact with both internal and external customers to resolve outstanding issues in a professional manner.
Must be able to independently follow up using all channels of communication available that is email, phone, and face to face with various departments and Licensees to resolve inquires and disputes.
Must obtain a thorough knowledge of the Hertz Rent IT Here Leave It There policy.
Individual must be able to communicate professionally via email and phone.
All other duties as assigned by management.
