Deli Worker and Barista

We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Deli Worker and Barista. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and beverages, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. As a Deli and Barista Worker, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality deli items, sandwiches, salads, and a variety of hot and cold beverages, including specialty coffees.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner
• Prepare deli items such as sandwiches, salads, and cold cuts according to customer preferences and store standards
• Operate espresso machines and prepare a variety of coffee drinks (e.g., lattes, cappuccinos, and other specialty beverages)
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the deli and coffee preparation area
• Ensure that food and beverages are prepared according to health and safety standards
• Handle transactions using a point-of-sale (POS) system, including cash handling and card payments
• Restock deli and coffee bar supplies as needed
• Assist with the preparation of to-go orders
• Monitor and maintain proper food storage, rotation, and labeling practices
• Assist in maintaining inventory levels and communicate stock shortages to management
• Collaborate with team members to ensure a smooth and efficient operation

Qualifications

• Prior experience in a deli, barista, or food service role preferred
• Strong customer service skills and the ability to interact with diverse customers
• Ability to operate food preparation and coffee-making equipment
• Attention to detail and commitment to food safety and sanitation practices
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Basic math skills for handling cash and operating a register
• Flexibility to work varying shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for extended periods of time
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
