The Project Architect is responsible for overall project design and management under the direction and review by the President and Vice President of Greenfield Architects, Ltd. This includes application of a high degree of design and technical skills, building code compliance, project administration, schedule, cost, and quality control.

Responsibilities:
- Manage client relationship including proposal development, presentation, contract management, and client communication
- Involvement in the entire process from design phase to the end of construction
- Manage overall production of project design drawings and construction documents for commercial projects, multi-family residential, retail centers, medical offices, hotels, distribution, industrial/manufacturing/warehousing, college/universities, churches and more.
- Work independently in addition to collaborating in a team environment
- Ensure customer satisfaction by coordinating and monitoring service for quality performance
- Manage construction administration of projects including bidding, shop drawings, RFIs, and periodic on-site observation of work during construction to monitor compliance with construction documents
- Manage and coordinate design team, including outside design firms/consultants, and inside resources
- Utilize understanding of building costs, and drivers of those costs, while managing the design process to produce a design representing a construction project that is within established cost parameters
- Produce proposals for design services with a high degree of success in competitive circumstances, and manage the production of design services within those estimated costs
- Responsible for the overall production of project design drawings and construction documents
- Manage projects anywhere from $2M to $80M dollars on an annual basis
- Initiate and implement process changes that lead to more cost-efficient product of design services
- Mentor and train others in a team atmosphere
- Communicate change concepts, engage in constructive discussions about change and impact thereof, and lead change initiatives as needed
- Identify multiple solutions to a problem, and evaluate and determine which solutions are most effective
- Utilize creativity and innovation to think outside the box using an entrepreneurial spirit
Important Areas of Expertise:
- Licensed Architect, LEED BD C preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or a recognized branch of Architectural Engineering under a curriculum accredited by the NAAB and NCARB or related field
- 7 or more years of Architectural firm experience
- Revit or AutoCad proficiency required
- Demonstrated high order of architectural competence, both as an individual and as a leader in the team effort

- You will work in a professional office environment. Your desk will be near a window with plenty of natural light
