What are the responsibilities and job description for the CNA Trainee position at The Highlands at Brighton?
Hybrid CNA Class : This is a fast paced online 3 week class. You will need a laptop, smart phone or tablet to complete online course work and to watch CNA training vidoes. You will be required to come into the facility for hands on skill days and clinical days, which are set by the instructor. Attendance is mandatory for skill days and clinical days. Online attendance is mandatory to successfully stay on schedule and complete all quizzes and exams. You must pass all quizzes and final exam with a 90% or better.
Job Summary :
- Submit completed CNA application to facility
Attend interview for program
Pass Prometric Reading Assessment (80% or higher)
Submit required health documents
Complete fingerprinting and background check (if required)
Be respectful of instructor and the learning environment
Dress appropriately (per policy) for class / labs & clinicals
Interact cooperatively, respectfully and professionally with Fellow trainees, facility employees, residents and their families
Notify instructor of personal contact information changes
Exam :
At the end of the 3-week course you will be able to sit for your NYS CNA exam with Prometric.
To sit for the exam you will need to have completed all required materials and course hours.
The state exam will be held onsite, in the classroom. You will need two forms of ID for your state exam.
