Join The Highlands Adventure Camp as a Camp Counselor and lead recreational activities such as team-building games, arts & crafts, and sensory play. You'll be responsible for providing a safe and fun environment for children aged 5 to 12, collaborating with other team members, and performing daily cleaning tasks. The following statements are intended as general illustrations of the work in this classification and are not all-inclusive of the specific position.
- Welcome children to the camp. Take the child’s temperature and sign in.
- Assist in marking all children's belongings as needed
- Actively participate and engage with the campers
- Participating in recreational activities such as games, running, crafts, etc.
- Ensure safe play conditions and attentively watch and tend to campers
- Collaborate with other team members
- Have an upbeat and positive attitude
- Help maintain equipment and supplies
- Perform daily cleaning tasks
- Guide campers through behavioral situations and ask for help if needed
- Provide a fun and safe environment for the campers
- Previous childcare experience is not required, however, preferred.
- Work well with children and display patience.
- Complete CPR, First Aid Training. Training provided if necessary.
- Must be willing to work a majority of the 9-week program and 10 hour days.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
