Position Overview
The Worship Pastor is responsible for leading the congregation in worship services and providing musical and spiritual direction to the church. The Worship Pastor will plan and lead worship services, coordinate with the church staff to ensure the worship planning, and lead a team of musicians and vocalists. They will be responsible for developing, training, and equipping the worship team, developing a vision for the worship ministry, and creating engaging and meaningful worship experiences. The Worship Pastor will ensure the spiritual and musical excellence of all worship services, and will seek to spiritually encourage and equip the congregation.
Minimum Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years experience leading worship.
- Education: Training in the related field preferred but not required.
- Licenses/ Certification: Must maintain a Foursquare Pastoral Credential (If the candidate does not already have a credential, they must be willing to pursue it).
- Knowledge, skills, and gifts: The successful individual will be proficient with Microsoft office suite. Possess strong computer skills. Be adept at scheduling services and music through Planning Center Online. Have the ability to multitask. Have basic knowledge of ProPresenter. Knowledge of Multitrack systems. Able to keep on time using a click track. High proficiency in vocals, guitar and/or piano with ability to train others. Have a strong knowledge of a wide variety of music and worship styles. Must be highly relational and engaging. Able and willing to shepherd and pastor the volunteers on the team.
