Operations Specialist

Job Summary :

Supports local branch in all aspects of daily operational functions. Work closely with local planner, coordinators and warehouse. Assist with all functions of operations.

Supervisory Responsibilities :

Duties / Responsibilities :

• Prepare files and paperwork for local operations.
• Update warehouse activity report daily.
• Prepare commercial equipment pull lists for the warehouse and maintain equipment tracker.
• Schedule all casual labor assuring that all background checks are current.
• Assist in lot inspections.
• Audit all completed paperwork to ensure accuracy.
• Scan all returned paperwork including workplace orders.
• Tracks local drivers’ paperwork problems to advise management when issues need to be addressed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Skills / Abilities :

Excellent oral and written communication skills : good data entry capability. Demonstrates pro-active approach to problem resolution. Anticipates problems that could arise, and in the event of a problem, works closely with management to ensue problem resolution results in customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

Required Education : High school diploma or equivalent work experience, college courses a plus.

Required Experience : 2 or more years of general office experience. 1-2 years of customer service experience. Experience in the transportation business a plus.

Work is performed in a typical, comfortable interior work environment which does not subject the employee to any unpleasant elements; individual has discretion in relation to walking, standing etc., and has minimal exposure to physical risks.
