Job Summary: The primary role of a Fire Alarm Helper is to assist in the inspection, service and repair of fire sprinkler systems. Providing support to Fire Alarm Technicians, a Fire Alarm Helper is a key component in the completion and timeliness of each job.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist Fire Alarm Technicians with inspection, service and troubleshooting of automatic fire alarm systems along with all its related equipment.
- Under the direction of a Lead Technician or supervisor, the Alarm Helper will participate in site clean-up, unloading materials, staging materials, and distributing materials.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
What we are looking for:
- High School Diploma/ GED
- No prior fire protection experience required, just a demonstrated ability and desire to learn and help
- Drug testing/Background check required
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Display professional appearance.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Strong Communication Skills
- Basic understanding of hand tools and power tools.
- Basic understanding of technology, including but not limited to iPhone, iPad, and computers.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Comfortable working in various environments, including industrial facilities, commercial buildings, and outdoor settings.
- Capable of standing, walking, bending, and kneeling for extended periods.
- Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces as needed.
