Perform, monitor, and assign work duties to warehouse personnel, prioritized and established by the Area Manager, to ensure maximum productivity and efficiency. Drive a culture of safety, be self-motivated, with good organizational and team-building skills, and achieve high level results by embracing continuous improvement methodologies.
Essential Job Functions *
- Communicates with manager to determine priorities, observes work-in-progress, and advises manager of issues
- Serves as a resource to team members – answers question and resolves operating problems
- Demonstrates “role model” work habits and fosters teamwork within the department
- Enhances team morale – discusses issues and suggestions with manager and follows up with team members
- Conducts on-the-job training and provides constructive feedback to employees
- Picks-up incoming materials from the Receiving dock
- Unloads and puts away stock in the Bulk storage area
- Provides replenishment materials to workstations in a timely manner
- Transfers finished products to designated areas
- Stacks empty skids and pallets in designated areas
- Continually seeks opportunities to improve department operations
- Encourages team members to maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Operates a manual pallet jack, powered pallet jack, forklift, order picker, and Drexel. Performs safety checks prior to use. Reports machine problems to manager. Charges industrial truck batteries as needed.

Education & Experience
- High School diploma or GED equivalent required, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Material handling experience is strongly preferred.
- Forklift Certification required.
- Related experience is highly preferred.
- Good attention to detail.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Able to work from verbal and written instruction
- Able to work accurately from verbal and written instructions.
- Able to work accurately with numbers and use a calculator
- Hand-held RF Scanner, manual/motorized pallet jack, Powered Industrial Equipment
Work Environment
Material Handler Must be forklift operation certified. Standing on concrete floors up to 8 hrs/day. Exposure to loud noise. Functional vision and hearing required.
Physical Demands
Material Handler Medium - Heavy, lifting up to 70 lbs.
