What are the responsibilities and job description for the Hotel Sales Executive position at The Hilton Revel Hotel?
The Hilton Revel Hotel is currently seeking a Hotel Sales professional in Urbandale, IA. As a Hotel Sales Executive, you will develop, source and close on new profitable accounts and maintain core business for the hotel property across all market segments. We are seeking candidates that have experience in hotel sales. Successful track record which shows an increase in business as a result of individual efforts is required. An outgoing personality, the desire to win and succeed, and being part of a team are a must. History with Hilton sales is a plus. Revenue Management history is a plus.
Business Transient
-Solicit/Prospect new accounts for local businesses
-Maintain and grow negotiated rates with local businesses
-Negotiate contracts for local negotiated rates
-Build local negotiated rates in appropriate Hilton Systems
-Monitor business travel guestroom rates to ensure accounts are up to date and accurate
-In person sales calls to local businesses to grow new accounts
Group Business
-Solicit/Prospect new accounts for group business
-Respond/Follow up on sales leads
-Maintain current group business and continue to book on annual basis
-Negotiate proposals and contracts to ensure maximum revenue for hotel
-Work directly with Convention Services Manager for seamless turnover from contracting to detailing process
-Meet with clients on regular basis to ensure account saturation
Hotel/Sales Activities
-Attend morning Standup Meeting with Executive
-Attend biweekly Banquet Event Order Meetings
-Attend weekend Staff Meeting
-Communicate effectively with all departments of the hotel to ensure clients/groups are taken care
-Work directly with Group Rooms Coordinator for building guestroom blocks, handling rooming lists and assigning guestrooms as needed
-Represent hotel at designated functions
-Sales calls to local clients to drum up additional business opportunities
-Ability to work nights and weekends based on business levels and events at hotel
-Meets and exceeds guestrooms and food and beverage quotas/budgets
Compensation
Base salary plus commission. Full health, life and dental insurance benefits with 401K, vehicle reimbursement. Salary will be discussed in the interview.
