Hinckley Yachts is seeking skilled and detail-oriented Marine Diesel Mechanic to join our team in Stuart, FL.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of marine diesel engines and mechanical equipment onboard our vessels. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of marine diesel engines, their components and their functions. This includes troubleshooting, diagnosing, repairing and maintaining mechanical, electrical and fluid systems.
- Inspect and troubleshoot marine diesel engines and equipment to diagnose issues
- Carry out regular maintenance and servicing of the vessels’ engines and mechanical systems
- Repair or replace malfunctioning components, parts, and systems
- Maintain records of inspections, maintenance, and repair work
- Ensure that all work complies with safety standards and regulations
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Marine Mechanic
- Deep understanding of marine diesel engines and their components
- Ability to use diagnostic equipment to troubleshoot and repair engines
- Completion of a diesel mechanic training program is preferred
