Job description
Under the supervision of the HCBS Operations Director, the Home and Community Based Services (HCBS) Supervisor is responsible for managing the member services and programs, its team members, and individuals supported within the program.
Job Requirements
Supervise a team of remote Direct Support Professionals (DSP) to ensure service provision in a consistent manner in accordance with all policies and procedures
Oversee the coordination of the program to ensure that all individuals are receiving treatment and/or services in accordance with respective regulations
Oversee documentation for each client record (reviews Progress Notes, create Service Plans, complete Authorization Forms, ensure all nonbillable documentation is entered)
Ensure documentation meets quality and compliance thresholds as set by regulation and/or Agency guidelines
Perform all enrollment activities as required by DOH and the lead health home. Activities to include but are not limited to; perform outreach contacts, obtain all required signatures on consents, and assist in obtaining supporting documentation
Provide initial and ongoing training and professional development to Direct Support Professionals through documented monthly supervision
This position requires the ability to be proactive, multitask, develop programming, and lead effectively to ultimately ensure the success and sustainability of the HCBS program
Oversee the overall quality, compliance and timeliness of all documentation is completed within the program's guidelines
Accurately and positively communicate Agency philosophy and administrative decisions to other team members in a timely and professional manner
Prevent, recognize and report abuse toward the people we support
Establish positive working relationships with co-workers, other management teams, clinicians and collateral providers
Review team members timesheets to ensure all documentation has been completed in a timely manner
Provide clinical and task supervision to interns.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Education: MA degree in mental health or a related field.
Licensure: LCSW, LMSW, LMHC, LCAT preferred but not required.
Experience: Previous supervisor-level experience in the Behavioral Health field required, with at least 3 years in behavioral health and/or developmental disability fields.
Skills: Service planning experience, strong computer skills, and experience with electronic medical records and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel). Smartsheet experience is a plus.
Identification: Valid NYS Identification.
Diverse Experience: Experience working with populations with complex medical, behavioral/mental health, and psychosocial needs, including children and families.
Spanish Speaking is preferred
