Job Summary:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized Junior Controller to manage our agency's financial operations. As a one-person finance team, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial functions, including accounts payable, bank reconciliation, auditing, cost reporting, and financial reporting.
Responsibilities:
- Manage all financial operations, including AP, bank reconciliation, and auditing
- Prepare and submit cost reports to government agencies and other stakeholders, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and accurate reporting of financial data
- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, including monthly financial statements and annual audits
- Meet deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively, managing multiple projects and responsibilities simultaneously
- Maintain financial records and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including GAAP and financial reporting principles
- Collaborate with management to develop and implement financial strategies, providing expert guidance and support to inform business decisions
- Develop and maintain financial models, forecasts, and analyses to support business planning and decision-making
Requirements:
- 2 years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably in a non-profit or healthcare setting
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting principles
- Experience with cost reporting, including preparation and submission of cost reports to government agencies and other stakeholders
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office
