Job Summary:
We are looking for a results-driven Outside Sales Specialist to identify and pursue new business opportunities in the drayage industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the transportation industry, excellent sales skills, and the ability to work independently.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the drayage industry
- Develop and maintain relationships with potential and existing clients
- Conduct sales calls, presentations, and negotiations to secure new business
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless execution of sales strategies
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends, competitor activity, and market developments
- Meet or exceed monthly sales targets
Requirements:
- 2 years of experience in transportation sales (drayage, trucking, or logistics)
- Proven track record of success in sales, with a strong ability to identify and pursue new business opportunities
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Strong understanding of the transportation industry, including drayage operations and regulations
- Ability to work independently, with a strong sense of self-motivation and discipline
- Reliable transportation and valid driver's license
Compensation:
- Base salary: $500-750 a week
- Commission: $30 per container (average client brings in $15,000-$30,000 in business per year)
- Uncapped commissions: earn $100,000-$200,000 in the first year, with potential to build to $250,000-$500,000 per year
