Position Title: IT Audit Project Lead

Job Summary
The IT Audit Project Lead is responsible for conducting and managing moderate-to-complex audits of business applications, IT systems, and related controls. This role involves planning and executing audits, identifying areas of risk or non-compliance, and recommending improvements, while supporting a collaborative and efficient audit process.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead audits through planning, technical analysis, testing, and closing phases.
- Define audit scope and objectives using a risk-based and compliance-based approach.
- Execute audits with limited supervision, applying advanced critical thinking, data analytics, and auditing standards.
- Investigate audit deviations, document findings, and develop recommendations.
- Prepare detailed audit documentation in line with departmental standards.
- Communicate audit findings effectively to relevant audiences.
- Provide feedback and guidance to less experienced staff.
- Suggest improvements and efficiencies for audits and related processes.
- Travel may occasionally be required.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Cybersecurity, IT/Computer Science, Accounting, or Finance preferred.
- Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Professional certification preferred.
Experience
- Minimum of 5 years in IT or analytics roles involving security, privacy, configuration, continuity, or controls.
- Audit experience is a plus but not mandatory.
Skills & Knowledge
- Ability to work independently or in a team to meet goals.
- Knowledge of insurance operations is beneficial.
- Proficiency in documenting business/system processes through narratives and flowcharts.
- Strong analytical skills to assess data and identify risks or issues.
- Clear communication skills to present audit findings and build consensus.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Access, Visio, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint).
Salary : $90,000 - $130,000
