As they grow their detailed database of more than 20 million active American donors to their political and non-profit clients, they’re looking for a Senior UX Designer to help create impactful products and improve their holistic design system.
It will be your responsibility to plan and own all design and research projects while tracking and sharing insights with the organization. You will balance consistency with customization and reusability with innovation, all while staying true to the organization’s mission and identity. You will use data and user feedback to ensure that UX is always holistic, desirable, and curated.
What’s it going to take to score an interview?
- You Have the Design Chops : You have 4 years of proven UX Design experience with a solid understanding of Atomic Design, Object-Oriented UX, or Modular Design principles. You grasp the value of diverse perspectives in design / research work with a firm grounding in Inclusive Design principles. Plus, you have a demonstrable understanding of IA methodologies, Interaction Design best practices, Qualitative User Testing, and responsive / mobile design. You must be familiar with and comfortable discussing JavaScript, HTML, and CSS and have experience with Figma, Lucidchart (or equivalent), Sketch and Adobe CC.
- Effective Communication and Collaboration Are Your Jam : You’re a pro at working cross-functionally with product managers, developers, and business stakeholders so that you’re all on the same page about building out the best and brightest user experience. Plus, you have no qualms about getting up in front of the C-Suite and giving riveting design presentations.
- You Have an Expert-Level Design Portfolio : This is a non-negotiable. You must have an online portfolio that includes site maps, user flows, and lo- and hi-fidelity prototypes.
- You’re a Proactive Data-Driven Problem Solver : Instead of resting on your laurels, you look at the data to identify and develop solutions to challenges, constantly looking at big-picture progress
- If Design Stewardship Were a Spirit Animal … You would be IT! You possess an uncanny ability to understand and visualize multiple scenarios and user states simultaneously.
