What are the responsibilities and job description for the Corporate Controller position at The Hiring Advisors?
The Hiring Advisors is partnering with a $30 million contract manufacturer of private-label CPG products to hire a Corporate Controller with private equity experience.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the Company’s accounting function, with adherence to US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP)
- Establish and document accounting policies and procedures ensuring proper internal controls are in place
- Prepare monthly financial statements and reports, analyze financial data, and ensure financial compliance with lender requirements and debt covenants
- Maintain and oversee various financial procedures, including month-end and year-end closings, general ledger entries, expense reporting compliance, and bank reconciliations
- Oversee and manage the Accounting team in the performance of their duties with daily accounting operations, including billing, accounts receivable, and accounts payable
- Process bi-weekly payroll and assist the HR function (along with the CFO)
- Support acquisition activity and post-close integration process
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree (accounting, finance, or management) required.
- 6 years’ experience in mid-senior level finance or accounting roles within manufacturing
- Big Four audit experience preferred
- CPA preferred but not required
- Proven analytical skills (financial and general)
- Strong knowledge of ERP systems, Excel spreadsheets, and data analysis
- Proficient in Sage 300 and Batch Master a huge plus
