Role Details
Location: Louisville, KY (Onsite)
Pay: $64–$79/hour (W2 Contract)
Contract: July–November 2025 | Full-Time | 40–60 hrs/week
Work Status: Must be authorized to work in the U.S. (Green Card or US Citizen only)
Job Overview
We’re seeking a Construction Project Manager to oversee a high-visibility industrial construction project in Louisville, KY. This role requires hands-on oversight and coordination of all aspects of a construction project, ensuring it is completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality and safety standards, while effectively managing resources and stakeholders. The Construction Manager needs to hold the license for the state of Kentucky.
Ideal for experienced Construction Project Management professionals based in Louisville, Lexington, Cincinnati, Evansville, or within commuting distance.
Key Responsibilities include (but are not limited to) the following:
Project Planning and Management
- Review comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Creating and maintaining project schedules, ensuring tasks are completed on time.
- Managing project budgets, tracking expenses, and identifying potential cost overruns.
- Communicate issues concerning schedule to Project Planner and Discipline Leaders as necessary.
- Hiring and managing construction crews, subcontractors, and other personnel.
- Coordinating the activities of different trades and subcontractors to ensure smooth workflow.
- Lead weekly 1 hour coordination meetings with Owner and with Contractors and implement action tracking system for meetings.
- Provide written weekly progress updates, KPI and issues to Project Manager.
Team Leadership and Coordination
- Hiring and managing construction crews, subcontractors, and other personnel.
- Coordinating the activities of different trades and subcontractors to ensure smooth workflow.
- Give direction to Discipline leaders and technical validators, coordinating activities of multiple construction contractors in the field to maintain construction, pre-commissioning and commissioning schedule.
- Working with Project Manager, Commissioning Manager, Operations Representative to manage the construction schedule with the Planner and manage contractors to their individual schedules (that are aligned with the owner) with the Discipline Leaders.
- Communicate activities and coordinate with Site Operations Representative to prevent interference between the project and the site.
- Lead weekly 1 hour coordination meetings with Owner and with Contractors, implement action tracking system for meetings.
- Provide written weekly progress updates, KPI and issues to Project Manager.
- With input from the Discipline Leaders/Technical Validators contributes to the Project Monthly Report based on consolidated contractor reporting.
Quality Control and Safety
- Ensuring that construction work meets quality standards and complies with relevant codes and regulations.
- Participates in safety audits and monitors project progress, identifying potential problems early on.
- Participates in the safe work permitting process.
- Leads the PSSR/R1 review(s) - A risk analysis of the construction site covering domains SMQDC (Safety, Morale, Quality, Delivery, and Cost) is formalized; preventive measures and risk management are defined.
Client and Stakeholder Management
- Communicating with clients and other stakeholders to keep them informed of project progress.
- Addressing client concerns and resolving issues in a timely manner.
- Negotiating contracts and managing relationships with vendors and suppliers.
Risk Management
- Identifying potential risks and developing mitigation strategies.
Requirements
- A Bachelor's degee in construction management or related field
- 5-10 or more years of industrial construction experience, preferably including experience in a production manufacturing environment
- Brownfield experience is preferred
- Must be available for weekends and overtime, as needed
Nice to Have
- Strong knowledge of OSHA construction safety, OSHA 10 or 30 preferred
- Knowledge and experience using MS Project
- PMP/LEAN certification is a plus
