Job Overview
We are seeking a talented and passionate Japanese Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have experience in fine dining and a strong understanding of food service management. As a Chef, you will be responsible for creating exceptional dining experiences through innovative menu planning, high-quality food production, and effective kitchen operations. Your leadership skills will be essential in managing kitchen staff and ensuring that all food handling and safety standards are met.

Duties

  • Develop and design creative menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
  • Oversee daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation.
  • Manage inventory control to ensure the availability of fresh ingredients while minimizing waste.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in food handling and storage.
  • Train and mentor kitchen staff in cooking techniques, food safety practices, and shift management.
  • Collaborate with the catering team to plan and execute special events or large-scale functions.
  • Monitor food production processes to maintain high standards of quality and consistency.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization within the kitchen environment.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Chef in a fine dining or upscale restaurant setting.
  • Strong skills in menu planning, food production, and inventory control.
  • Knowledge of food service management principles and best practices.
  • Familiarity with dietary department requirements is a plus.
  • Excellent leadership abilities with experience in shift management.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with kitchen staff and front-of-house teams.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Certification in food handling or culinary arts is preferred but not mandatory.

Pay: Up to $95,000.00 per year
