Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Site Director to lead our early childhood learning center. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education, leadership, and operational management, ensuring the highest standards of care and education for children. The Site Director will oversee daily operations, staff supervision, compliance with state regulations, and collaboration with families and community partners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the daily operations of the learning center, ensuring a safe and enriching environment for children and staff.
- Ensure compliance with all state licensing requirements, including New Mexico Early Childhood Education and Care Department (ECECD) regulations and high-quality standards.
- Lead, mentor, and support a team of educators, fostering a positive and professional work environment.
- Implement and maintain curriculum and assessments aligned with early childhood best practices.
- Build strong relationships with families, staff, and the community to promote an inclusive and welcoming culture.
- Monitor enrollment, budgeting, and financial management to ensure the center's sustainability and growth.
- Facilitate professional development opportunities for staff to enhance teaching quality and effectiveness.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with state and accreditation requirements.
- Address and resolve any concerns from staff, families, or regulatory agencies promptly and professionally.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in early childhood education, with a focus on high-quality programming.
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field (preferred); or equivalent combination of education and experience as per New Mexico licensing requirements.
- Knowledge of New Mexico early childhood regulations, licensing, and high-quality standards.
- Leadership or management experience in an early childhood setting.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Passion for early childhood education and advocacy for children and families.
- Ability to build and lead a team with a positive and inclusive approach.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish (preferred but not required).
