Since its inception, Hive Group has supported numerous federal agencies with their mission requirements by working closely to help define requirements, develop sound acquisition strategies, justify budget requests, and track project execution.
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Business Development / Outreach Associate to join our existing team supporting the client Program Management Office. This position will provide operational research & analysis, strategic marketing, stakeholder outreach, communication support, and process improvement support to a Federal Government contracting activity. The position will work closely with the program manager and senior client program office officials to monitor market trends of federal acquisition in order to provide outreach support at trade shows, symposiums, & other industry engagements across the United States.
Hive Group is seeking individuals that are energetic, forward thinking, with excellent communication skills, ability to be productive with minimal direction, and have a desire & willingness to travel approximately 35-45% of the year. (Note: Travel to the following areas a few times a year will be likely: Washington, DC, Denver, CO, Tampa, Fla, San Diego California and occasionally Hawaii and other areas, as needed). *Qualified candidates living in the Washington, DC (or) Tampa, Fla area are a plus!!
Job Responsibilities
- Build and execute Business Development strategies that can support the operational and growth goals of the GSA AAS Organization.
- Serve as part of the outreach team and represent GSA AAS client(s) at trade shows/conferences across the United States, through exhibiting which involves proactively approaching show attendees and educating them on the client’s mission and value proposition, answering questions, building relationships with industry and government stakeholders.
- Research and educate external stakeholders on the value proposition of GSA AAS, a fee for service contracting activity. Assist with the preparation of materials for conferences.
- Actively articulate the brand and key differentiators.
- Increase client’s presence within the marketplace.
- Support Outreach efforts by working with creative teams to create optimal industry show materials and messaging.
- Work with trade show organizers to register and plan for events by researching and making recommendations to leadership on which events would be best to attend.
- Organize and execute logistics associated with conference exhibits including shipping, exhibit booth management, and booth setup/teardown.
Qualifications
- Education: Undergraduate or Graduate Degree in related fields such as: Business, Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, etc.
- Minimum (5) years of relevant experience in the Business Development field
- Qualified candidates must be able to obtain a security clearance

- Candidates must be able to lift 25-30lbs boxes on occasion, for Trade Shows & Symposium event materials shipping

Salary : $100,000 - $150,000
