Meet The Hive: a community-centric coffee bakeshop with a mission to foster friendship, welcome all, and be an inclusive, creative space for customers to gather, recharge, and be inspired. Founded by friends Kristin Karotkin and Catherine Willhoit, they built their business on the basis of serving delicious coffees, teas, and treats, while offering exceptional hospitality to all.

We are hiring a mix of part-time and full-time shifts for each of our two shops in Hoboken and Jersey City, NJ. If you love working amongst a group of fun, outgoing peers and making people's days with vibrant customer service, we'd love to meet you!

Responsibilities include:

• Be upbeat, welcoming, and make someone's day better
• Make and serve drinks based on our regular and seasonal menus
• Answer customer questions confidently regarding ingredients
• Take orders while paying attention to details (e.g. preferences of coffee blend, dairy, etc.)
• Assist with setup, cleanup, stock work, and other store-related tasks
• Receive and process payments (cash and credit cards)
• Keep the bar area pristinely clean
• Check if brewing equipment operates properly and report or troubleshoot any maintenance needs
• Comply with health and safety regulations
• Communicate customer feedback to managers and recommend new menu items

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• Past experience in coffee or hospitality industries
• Available to work Saturdays and/or Sundays
• Must be legally able to work in the U.S.

Physical requirements:

• Job requires long hours on your feet.
• Repeated motions with hands and wrists (e.g. pulling shots, steaming milk, pouring drinks, etc.)
• Ability to move heavy equipment or deliveries.
