Position Purpose | Ensures the provision of a safe environment of care is maintained by completing assigned maintenance tasks in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations governing the facility ensuring the facility is maintained in a safe and comfortable manner. |
Required Qualifications
Minimum requirements include the following:
- High school diploma or GED diploma.
- Previous experience with a Skilled Nursing Facility, or Long Term Care Facility preferred.
- A working understanding of physical plant repairs/preventive maintenance and grounds maintenance.
- Valid driver’s license.
- The ability to have regular and predictable attendance.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
Performs general maintenance of the property including grounds and physical plant including but not limited to:
- Painting, chipped, faded or scheduled areas
- Basic plumbing such as fixture repair/replacement to avoid water damage,
- Basic carpentry such as hand rail repair, dresser drawer pull repair
- Window, wall repair
- Call system repair
- Light fixture repair
- Electrical switch plate, outlet cover repairs
- Replace light bulbs
- Heating/cooling and general wiring repair. (note if special certifications are required)
- General equipment repair
- Other Duties as assigned
