Grants Manager
Our client, a research institution is looking for an experienced Grant Manager to work closely with the finance and development teams for the purpose of creating grant proposals and related materials. The ideal candidate should have superior writing, editing, and proofreading skills in addition to precise attention to detail. Applicants must be able to work onsite 3 days per week in Boston, MA to be eligible for this role.
Responsibilities:
• Manage all institutional development materials, including letters of intent, proposals, and compliance reporting
• Coordinate necessary data collection from the data team and reports from the finance team to complete proposals and reports
• Research, write, and submit compelling grant concept papers, letters of inquiry, proposals, and reports
• Research relevant studies, reports, and statistical data to strengthen agency proposals and funder materials
• Manage and oversee freelance grant writers to assist with funder proposals and reports as needed
• Research foundation, corporate, and government initiatives to identify a pipeline of prospective funding sources
• Write grant award acknowledgment letters and track payments with the finance team
• Support the Associate Director on funding-related projects and stewardship activities
• Contribute to special events and projects as part of the Development team
• Participate in Development team staff meetings. Perform other duties as assigned or requested
Qualifications:
• Three years of grant writing experience in a non-profit setting
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant professional experience
• Strong written communication skills; demonstrated ability to write clear and articulate proposals
• Attention to detail, strong editing, and organization skills
• Ability to meet deadlines
• Motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently

Salary : $85,000 - $90,000
