Project Manager
Our client, a prominent financial institution based in Boston, MA, is looking for a skilled Project Manager to join their team in a fully remote capacity. In this role, you’ll oversee the execution of key projects critical to the organization’s mission. You will manage project timelines, resources, risks, and dependencies, ensuring successful project delivery. This position is ideal for someone with a strong balance of business and technical acumen, as well as the ability to collaborate across teams and engage with stakeholders at all levels to drive successful outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, risk registers, resource allocation, and scope definition
- Identify key milestones and critical dependencies, implementing effective mitigation strategies and alternatives to keep projects on track
- Lead the management of project deliverables, including progress tracking, performance metrics, change management, QA, testing, and releases
- Coordinate and align project resources across various teams within a matrixed environment
- Proactively identify risks and issues across multiple projects, developing and implementing mitigation plans as necessary
- Foster positive, collaborative relationships within the project team, promoting a supportive and efficient work environment
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring that project updates and progress are shared in a timely manner
- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration, ensuring alignment on project objectives, timelines, and scope
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required
- 5-7 years of experience in technology project management, with expertise in tools such as MS Project, SharePoint, MS Teams, and Excel
- Solid understanding of both Waterfall and Agile methodologies throughout the SDLC
- Proven experience managing complex, large-scale projects from initiation to completion
- PMI certification and Agile certifications (PMP, CSM, PMI-ACP) are highly desirable
- Experience working in a virtual environment, with strong self-management and independence
- Excellent organizational, multi-tasking, and time-management skills
- A strong team player with the ability to drive results and work autonomously when needed
- Comfort with leading and facilitating discussions with diverse groups
- Familiarity with Cloud Infrastructure and DevOps practices is a plus
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to present and interact effectively with a wide range of stakeholders
