Senior Business Analyst
Our client is a global asset manager looking to hire a Senior Business Analyst for a contract role at their Boston, MA office. This role is expected to facilitate project meetings to discuss end user requirements, project status, project issues, testing planning, and/or deployment needs. This ideal candidate will have experience writing functional specification documents, test plans, reports, training plans, and deployment plans. This is a hybrid role requiring three days on-site per week.
Responsibilities:
- Foster alignment among stakeholders by ensuring a clear understanding of customer needs, challenges, and objectives
- Analyze user requirements and translate them into structured business workflows, functional features, and comprehensive user stories
- Coordinate with business and technology teams to manage dependencies and streamline processes
- Prepare detailed Product Requirements Documents to guide development and implementation
- Partner with technology teams throughout the application design and testing phases
- Ensure that application designs support long-term business goals and scalability
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in technology and innovation methodologies, including Agile, Lean, and Sprints
- Strong understanding of financial services, including portfolio management, trading, operations, compliance, performance, and business development
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Product Managers, Engineers, and Designers
- Ability to establish and enforce effective communication protocols, guidelines, and best practices
- Keen attention to detail, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strategic thinker who confidently asks questions, embraces ambiguity, and seeks solutions proactively
- Growth-oriented mindset, capable of evaluating strengths and areas for improvement while setting professional development goals
- Proficiency in Miro, Productboard, and human-centered design methodologies
- Ability to engage directly with end users to understand workflows and identify potential improvements
