Senior Developer
Our client is an asset investment firm based in Boston, MA, looking for a talented Developer to join their Private Investments Development team. This hybrid role requires 3 days per week on-site. In this position, you’ll be integral in building and enhancing internal systems that support the Private, Strategic, and Corporate Systems business units. The ideal candidate will be passionate about creating high-quality applications and will have experience working with a variety of technologies to develop both front-end and back-end solutions. You’ll be part of an agile team that embraces cloud technologies and frameworks to develop innovative solutions and drive business success.
Responsibilities:
- Build, enhance, and maintain the firm’s web applications and internal systems to meet business needs
- Design and implement efficient, secure, and scalable solutions for both the front-end and back-end
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements, design solutions, and deliver new features
- Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing systems to ensure high performance
- Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to coding best practices
- Continuously improve the development process and contribute to the overall growth of the development team
Qualifications:
- BS or MS degree in Computer Science or a related field, with 7 years of experience in full-stack development
- Hands-on experience with AWS services (RDS, Lambda, SNS, SQS), Docker, Terraform, Python, and React/Redux or other front-end technologies
- Strong knowledge of software architecture and design patterns, with a focus on scalability and performance
- Proven ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and deliver effective solutions in both front-end and back-end systems
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with experience working collaboratively with various stakeholders and teams
- Familiarity with data engineering practices (e.g., data modeling, Airflow) and experience with C# or similar object-oriented languages is a plus
- A self-motivated, proactive problem solver who thrives in a fast-paced environment and works well both independently and as part of a team
