Position Purpose:
The Home Depot Sales Development Program offers the opportunity to develop sales skills and gain hands on experience by working in a variety of 3-month job rotations that directly impact our Pro business. Sales Development Program Associates will learn day-to-day sales operations and gain exposure to our stores, customer service, lead generation, inside sales, and outside sales environments while contributing to driving incremental Pro growth for one of the world's leading retailers. This position will enhance consultative selling skills with in-store experience and ride-alongs and provide professional development opportunities including networking events, leadership exposure, and dedicated mentoring.
Key Responsibilities:
- 20% - Cross-Functional Collaboration - Participate in meetings across the Pro business, gaining exposure to cross-functional business units. Build networking relationships and receive mentoring and coaching from direct manager and rotation managers.
- 10% - Formal Training - Complete weekly and monthly professional development training by set deadlines, including instructor-led selling courses and eLearning.
- 70% - Pro Sales Rotations - Shadow and collaborate with Pro associates in the stores, customer service, sales development, inside sales, and outside sales functions. Present recommendations and learnings to senior leadership through final report out at conclusion of program. Support the Pro customer in a variety of functions, including in-aisle selling, transactions, generating qualified leads, sales analysis, and account management.

Travel Requirements:
- Typically requires overnight travel 5% to 20% of the time.
Physical Requirements:
- Must continuously stand or walk or regularly requires lifting/handling/carrying material or equipment of moderate weight (8-20 pounds).
Working Conditions:
- Typically located in a comfortable indoor area. There may be regular exposure to mild physical discomfort from factors such as dust, fumes or odors, temperature extremes, loud noise, strong drafts, or bright lights.
