The Home Ranch, a luxury guest ranch located in the breathtaking Elk River Valley just north of Steamboat Springs, Colorado, is looking for an experienced and passionate Seasonal Head Chef to lead our culinary program for the 2025 summer season.
This is a rare opportunity to launch and shape a brand-new kitchen—you’ll be instrumental in selecting equipment, building the team, and setting up systems that reflect your vision and culinary style, within the elevated ranch hospitality we’re known for.
As we reopen under new ownership, we’re assembling a team of professionals who are passionate about delivering unforgettable guest experiences and raising the bar in mountain hospitality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead all aspects of kitchen operations, including menu development, sourcing, inventory, and staff supervision
- Create a refined, seasonal menu that celebrates local ingredients and western heritage
- Hire, train, and manage the kitchen team with an emphasis on collaboration and consistency
- Uphold high standards of cleanliness, safety, and professionalism
- Support weddings, private dinners, and events with custom menu execution
- Collaborate with FOH and operations team to deliver an exceptional guest experience

Requirements:
- Proven experience as Head or Executive Chef, preferably in a luxury or high-volume setting
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Comfortable managing seasonal staff and working in a dynamic environment
- Commitment to sustainability, hospitality, and culinary excellence
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
- Willingness to relocate to Clark, CO (onsite housing provided)
