Overview
The Homestead is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team! As an LPN at our assisted living facility, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality care and ensuring a safe, supportive environment for our residents. Your primary responsibilities will involve direct patient care, administering medications, monitoring resident health, and assisting with daily activities to promote each resident’s well-being and comfort.
Responsibilities
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes to the supervising nurse.
- Communicate effectively with residents, family members, and other healthcare professionals
- Maintain accurate patient records using electronic health record systems
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Provide nursing care in accordance with resident care plans, facility policies, and state regulations
- Foster a warm, welcoming environment that encourages resident interaction and independence
Qualifications
- Valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of practice.
- Strong knowledge of physiology and nursing principles.
- Experience in assisted living or long-term care settings is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while demonstrating empathy towards patients.
