What are the responsibilities and job description for the Server/Wait Staff position at The Homestead?
We are looking to grow our Food and Beverage team with fun, responsible people. Whether you are a seasoned professional or a first timer we have positions for all. Full and part-time positions available. Server Job description: Servers will be responsible for taking orders from and serving food to customers in a timely and hospitable manner, while adhering to standards of table maintenance, professionalism, and a friendly attitude. Previous work experience involving customer service is a plus but certainly not required.
Server Responsibilities: Take food and drink orders from customers accurately and with a positive attitude. Write patrons' food orders and enter orders into computers for transmission to kitchen staff. Engage with customers in a friendly manner. Knowledge of the menu, with the ability to make suggestions. Ensure tables are enjoying their meals and take action to correct any problems. Collect payments from tables. Prepare checks that itemize and total meal costs and sales taxes.
Server Requirements: A positive attitude and ability to work well under pressure with managers, cooks, and other staff. Able to perform high-quality work while unsupervised. Able to handle money accurately and operate a point-of-sale system. Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment and deliver orders in a timely manner. A willingness to learn and to grow with us along the way.
Seasonal bonus of $1.10 per hour is in addition to base wage and tips.
