Job Overview:
The Hometown Pharmacy is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Pharmacy Technician. As a key member of our pharmacy team, you will be responsible for assisting licensed pharmacists in operating the pharmacy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing excellent customer service and greeting customers in person and via phone
- Learning to independently input patient data and medication orders
- Counting, labeling, and packaging prescription drugs and supplies
- Submitting prescriptions for third-party billing and troubleshooting issues
- Assisting in ordering, stocking, and maintaining inventory of prescription medications and necessary supplies
- Performing general cleaning and store maintenance tasks
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED (required)
- 1 year of pharmacy experience or training as a technician (preferred)
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for duration of shift
- Ability to lift and carry up to twenty pounds
