RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for generating business within your branch office and surrounding market, directly supervising, coaching, and developing all personnel assigned while ensuring world-class customer service and promoting growth and profitability of the institution while achieving the bank’s goals and objectives.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, TRAINING, ETC.
An associate's degree in business administration, or related field preferred or a high school diploma with equivalent banking experience. Minimum 5 years banking experience, previous lending experience preferred, prior Teller and CSR experience desired, previous supervisory experience necessary. Must possess exceptional customer relations skills, proficient PC skills, and strong communication skills. A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
In addition to conducting business in an office environment, the Branch Manager must be able to reach, bend, stand, walk, carry, pull, lift up to 25 lbs., and operate a motor vehicle.
Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Develop and implement a sales and service strategy for internal and external business development within branch and market;
- Promote a customer centric atmosphere by partnering with branch staff to ensure exceptional customer service delivery through activity-based coaching;
- Manage the daily workload to ensure customer expectations and sales goals are met;
- Open new accounts along with providing other products and services to customers;
- Maintain the Customer Service Standards throughout the branch;
- Respond to after hour calls for branch security concerns and assist with ATM machines; Oversee branch facility maintenance and ensure cleanliness of the branch;
- Ensure branch is compliant with daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual branch audit assignments, and assist with audit and retention items;
- May assist with customers with obtaining their safe deposit boxes;
- Assist with daily branch operations activity which includes approve wire transfers, perform signature guarantees for customers, obtain safe deposit boxes, balance the ATM;
- Oversee branch facility maintenance and ensure cleanliness of the branch;
- Assist Security Officer with fraud or possible fraud cases; maintain security equipment; and perform security alarm testing as required;
- Act as loan officer;
- Monitor overdrawn accounts, and determine processing activity for NSF items;
- Assist branch operations to ensure our service standards are met;
- Create an atmosphere where upward communication is encouraged;
- Supervise staff, insure competency and motivation through training, counseling, coaching, supervision and review of department’s activities and results;
- Educate staff and customers on products and services, improve branch efficiency with new and existing procedures and policies as directed;
- Maintain staffing levels, employee records, absenteeism, vacations, scheduling, part-time hours and conduct progress reports, and annual performance evaluations according to established deadlines;
- Assist with hiring staff, ensure adequate training, and maintain performance documentation and employee recommendations;
- Keep staff informed;
- May assist with select tasks completed by staff as needed;
- Identify, coach, develop, motivate, train, and support employees in delivering the bank’s products and services;
- Ensure the operations manual for the department is kept current and utilized as a resource;
- Make recommendations to supervisor about possible methods to improve the department;
- Participate in community affairs to increase the Bank's visibility and enhance new business;
- Assume additional responsibilities as directed.
