Responsibilities include loading and unloading shipments, maintaining cleanliness and organization of the warehouse, and operating equipment as needed. Responsibilities
- The following responsibilities represent the general duties associated with this position. Actual duties may vary depending on the specific requirements of the role.
- Select and load required cases of product onto pallets accurately.
- Deliver completed orders to designated loading areas.
- Review order specifications to ensure case counts are correct.
- Load and unload trucks and trailers safely and efficiently.
- Move products, shells, and pallets within the warehouse as needed.
- Perform general warehousing tasks, including dock loading/unloading, production forklift operations, truck stripping, replenishing inventory, recycling, repacking, and general cleaning.
- Operate large warehouse equipment safely and efficiently, adhering to company certification requirements.
- Maintain cleanliness in loading areas by disposing of trash in designated receptacles.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution environment is preferred.
- Proficiency in operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, shrink wrap, and other material handling tools.
- Certification is a plus (preferred)
- Familiarity with order picking, packing, and inventory management processes.
- Ability to lift, carry, and move heavy items safely and efficiently (up to 50 lbs. or more).
- Knowledge of loading/unloading trucks and trailers, including proper stacking and securing techniques.
- Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) or basic computer skills to track and update inventory (Preferred)
- Understanding of safety protocols and compliance with OSHA or company-specific safety standards.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in order fulfillment and inventory counts.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production deadlines.
- Team-oriented mindset with strong communication skills for collaboration with colleagues and supervisors.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Relevant training or certifications (Preferred)
- Pre-employment drug and background screening
