What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nail Technician position at The Hoodoo Moab?
Spa Moab is looking for a part-time Nail Technician to join our team!
We offer a tranquil spa environment where wellness, compassion, and creativity are encouraged.
Typical Duties:
- Assess nail health: Evaluate the condition of clients' nails and recommend appropriate treatments.
- Provide Russian (waterless) pedicures: Clean, shape, polish nails with gel/lacquer, treat cuticles, calluses/ heels with e-file and massage.
- Maintain sanitation: Ensure a clean and hygienic work environment by sterilizing tools, equipment and treatment room.
- Provide customer service: Build rapport with clients, understand their needs, ability to provide a relaxing experience.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Licensing: Completion of a state-approved cosmetology or nail technician program, passing a licensing exam and up-to-date license.
- Nail care expertise: Knowledge of various nail care techniques, products, and tools.
- Artistic ability: Creativity and attention to detail
- Customer service skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Sanitation practices: Understanding and adherence to hygiene and safety standards.
Work Environment:
Tranquil spa setting, low lights and ambient
Additional Information:

Nail technicians must be familiar with performing waterless/dry pedicures, using the e-file; additional training provided after hire
- Physical demands: sitting, standing, bending, lifting, ability to massage feet and calves
- Attire: required to wear all black professional clothing/scrubs, closed toed shoes

Spa Moab is located inside of the Hoodoo hotel
- Willing to be on call for appointment only scheduling as needed
- This is a position for pedicures only, we are not offering manicures at this time
- All pedicure supplies and products are provided by Spa Moab
- This position is commission based with Hilton benefits.
