This position offers working hours from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., with some flexibility available to accommodate individual needs.

Responsibilities

  • Assist teachers in implementing lesson plans and instructional activities tailored to individual student needs.
  • Provide support to students with special educational requirements, ensuring they have access to the curriculum.
  • Monitor student progress and behavior, offering guidance and encouragement as needed.
  • Facilitate small group activities focused on literacy education and math skills.
  • Collaborate with teachers to create an inclusive classroom environment that promotes engagement and learning.
  • Help maintain classroom organization, including preparing materials and managing supplies.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff to support student development.

Skills

  • Experience working with children in educational or childcare settings is essential.
  • Knowledge of special education practices and strategies for supporting diverse learners.
  • Familiarity with early childhood education principles, including Montessori methods.
  • Strong skills in literacy education and math instruction to assist students effectively.
  • Ability to build rapport with students and foster a supportive learning atmosphere.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective collaboration with teachers and parents.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine interest in the growth and development of children.
