WHO YOU ARE
You are a compassionate and enthusiastic Occupational Therapist who provides Occupational Therapy mentorship, servicing students with autism, developmental delays, and other learning disabilities while working with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high quality treatment, documentation, and compliance in a clinic-based environment.
***Position is Part-time, evening hours from 2pm to 6pm daily***
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Screening - Complete screening requests to determine each students need for an evaluation
Evaluation - Conduct standardized assessments to determine eligibility due to Occupational Therapy deficits, such as fine motor, visual motor, visual perceptual, self-care, oculomotor, and sensory processing needs
Treatment - Write evidence based Occupational Therapy plans for students who have Occupational Therapy related needs, incorporating various treatment strategies and accommodations
Documentation - Complete documentation in accordance with deadlines while maintaining a high level of professionalism and confidentiality
Communication - Maintain communication with student’s families and/or caregivers regarding progress and needs
Collaboration - Work with multidisciplinary team members to determine the most appropriate treatment plan based on each student’s needs and improve service delivery and treatment
Other responsibilities as assigned
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
Qualifications
Master’s degree or higher in Occupational Therapy
One year of progressive experience as an Occupational Therapist
State Board of Occupational Therapy License
Hold National Board Certification for Occupational Therapy if eligible
Experience working with individuals with developmental delays (Preferred)
Experience working in a school setting (Preferred)
Clearances & Training Required
Act 33 PA Child Abuse History Clearance
Act 34 PA State Criminal History Clearance
Act 114 FBI Clearance issued by the Dept of Education
Act 126 Mandated Reporter Training Certificate
Act 168 from Previous Employers where you came into contact with children
State License of Practice and/or Certification
