WHO YOU ARE
You are a devoted and enthusiastic School Counselor helps students attain an optimal level of personal and social adjustment and coordinates a comprehensive counseling program. This role will work closely with the other staff, administration, and the treatment team.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Counseling - Counsel students using individual and group sessions in accordance with student IEPs to optimize levels of personal and social adjustment
Documentation - Maintain student documentation, including special education reports, confidential records, records of services provided, and behavioral data according to Hope’s policies & procedures
Communication - Communicate with families in a structured and professional manner about the proposed counseling interventions’ expected outcomes, risks, and benefits
Collaboration - Actively participate in staff meetings and in-service training programs to continuously update skills
Development - Satisfy requirements for licensure renewal through steady pursuit of education and professional development opportunities
Other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications
Master’s Degree (Required)
Valid PA Certificate Elementary and Secondary School Counselor (PK-12)
1 Year Experience Working with Students with Special Needs
Clearances & Training Required
Act 33 PA Child Abuse History Clearance
Act 34 PA State Criminal History Clearance
Act 114 FBI Clearance issued by the Dept of Education
Act 126 Mandated Reporter Training Certificate
Act 168 from Previous Employers where you came into contact with children
State License of Practice and/or Certification
CPR/First Aid
